Dermaplaning is a facial treatment carried out with a blade, which is why it is worth being taught properly. The technique matters, but so does knowing when a client should not be treated and what to tell them once they leave the chair.

This course takes you from the theory through to the practical. It is listed as a beginner-level course, and it is a single day, so it is a straightforward first treatment to add if you are building up your skills.

Who this course is for

  • Therapists who want to add dermaplaning to the treatments they offer.
  • Anyone starting out in skin treatments who wants a short, practical first course.
  • Learners working towards the Skin Specialist Advanced Package, which includes dermaplaning alongside its other treatments.

What the course covers

The course teaches the professional dermaplaning technique from theory to practice. That includes contraindications, aftercare and treatment protocols, so you know how to assess a client before you begin and what to advise once you have finished.

  • Accredited certification
  • Training manual
  • Hands-on practical

How the day works

The course runs for a single day at Bella Jules Academy in Ossett and is taught as a small group. The course includes a hands-on practical. At the end there is an accredited certification, plus a training manual that stays with you for reference when you start treating your own clients.

Because contraindications and aftercare are part of the syllabus rather than an afterthought, the day is as much about judgement as technique: who you can treat, who you should not, and what you say to them before they leave.

Dermaplaning on its own, or as part of a package

You can book dermaplaning as a single course. It is also one of the treatments taught in the Skin Specialist Advanced Package, alongside Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology, Chemical Peels and Microneedling. If you already know you want that wider set of skills, compare the package with the single course price shown above before you book.

Planning to treat clients afterwards? Speak to your insurer first about what they expect from someone who has taken a one-day course. Their answer, not ours, is the one that counts.
